I always found it funny that we use the expression “mother nature” when referring to our planet. She gave birth to us and watched us grow, and she’s always there to provide us with more, even when we take it for granted and keep taking without ever giving back. This is a coal strip mine in Teague, Texas, where giant machines extract minerals from the surface. The cliff pictured here is more than 100 feet tall, revealing how much we took from Mom. It took us a while to realize this, but gladly, the state of Texas now is the top producer of renewable wind energy in the nation. The winds of change…
