The Salton Sea lake in the Colorado desert was a trendy place some decades ago. This vast and shallow lake is the largest in California. Conceived by the flow of the Colorado River that over hundreds of years, deposited soil creating fertile farmland around it. Weekenders from Los Angeles and neighboring cities, came in flocks to enjoy the beautiful beaches and serene waters. The village flooded a couple of times in the seventies leaving behind a ghost-town. The shore is so flat that rainwater flowing into the lake takes slow and meandrous paths tracing veins of sediments on the beach. Combined with layers of vegetation and human activities, it creates a lovely composition for curious tourists drifting around.
